22nd July Ground Zero... OMG
I wish i can tell you with picture but i cant, i didnt bring any camera or camera phone with me..YES!! i'm THAT prehistoric. But nissa from DBP did. I asked her AND mr gatz from PDS to provide me with pictures of the actual day event.
baikkkk..kana usaikan?! berapa no. telepon bininya?? hehehe.
looking good kalau kain sekayu, but then again, the day was so very cold! and the ladies just kept on smiling.Blavo..
I dont know whether these boys are from PDS or berakas...so booooyyyssss...hit me!
patiently waiting......AND...
still...patiently waiting..and finally..
His Majesty arrives...note the guy on extreme left.
after the event, it seems that everything is rosy...yup, yahooo!!! ada makanan untuk kami ni!!..... NOT!!!
Good news for some but more BAD news i'm afraid. Transportation, foods, blocked roads, students walked more than a kilo, no water, no rehearsal, I mean the list can go on and on, but this is the type of thing that i will not do in a million years. Doing something without prior planning. I know its cliche; but if you fail to plan......
i just wonder whats the postmortem of last years event? didnt foods and logistics? and most important of all..COMMUNICATION spring to mind?.
Oh My god! i dont blame PDS international, Semaun Secondary School and Berakas Secondary School for getting mad. They had enough!!.especially after the event where there were no foods prepared or even reserved for them.
(new addition 26th July))
So when we finally got to the food reserves tents, all we found were just milo kiosk (and a dirty one at that) and some de hayat miserable workers whom really need to work on their smile and professionalism. The sound that they make when they 'packed' the table was so loud...
...as if they were trying to tell us to shove off!!. Look!! how clean the place is!!
Come on guys, we were'nt able to come to the tents sooner because of HM's sooner than expected arrival. No one could have guess that the foods that were suppose to be there for 260 Students and Civil servants vanished into thin air or someone had the nerve to do a mini service of taking away the reserve foods.
So please students, shout out here ok!! anything you want to say!! comment on what happened yesterday the 22nd July 2007. I know some of you are too mad / busy to write but your feedback is needed, i will make SURE that your voice be heard at the senate...i mean the executive committee (IF THERE'S ONE!! LOL)

hell at Taman SOAS on the 18th July rehearsal
Hmmmm.. I might as well tell you how cold it was at taman soas today. I even saw a couple of students had to cover up, shivering...but whats with the people in the shades? Dont they know its COLD out there.
Well...we certainly was NOT inform of performing here, this is THE first time students perform together at Taman SOAS.
Unfortuunately, STILL there were no instructions of choreography from the people who are handling the field event. Professional slander aside, we just do what we do best...singing..albeit in the hot sun..make that extremely hot sun.
Even the tents were'nt good enough to hold more than 100 sweaty bodies. Is that right mam?
Well, I'll just let you see the 'so-called' rehearsal yourself. Enjoy ;-p.
Actually I sympathise with students from Semaun, most of them have'nt actually had any experience in choir performance, whats worse is the place . Where were the chairs and tables? Students had to just sit on the grass and chow down.
In blistering heat, they 'enjoy' or rather had to eat, they were asked to come in the early morning, so no breakfast, no wonder one female student from SEMAUN was grumpy.
As for the boys, have food, will sing.
While some of them enjoy, chicken and rice, most of them enjoy THIS for lunch.
I wonder when did the catering prepare ALL this?..I wonder how the parents will act, how will YOU react if your son were treated this way?.Just for the sake of field performance. It was done haphazardly, as if no preparation was made, even if it was made, its done at the very, and i do mean VERY, last minute. The focus was only on the field performance, where they should have focus on the overall QUALITY and delivery.
Even the dewan bahasa peeps were not left the chance. Look what have the weather done to this poor man!. His Iceberg perfume became iceBATU.
The tent where choir team were placed.
the damage was done! kesian student.
