National Choir Competition 2008

10 Schools In Final Of Choir Competition

Bandar Seri Begawan - Ten schools made it to the final of the National School Choir Competition. This was announced by chairman of the competition, Principal of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College, Pg Hj Zahari Pg Hj Ahmad, after 21 schools battled it out for a place in the final.

  2. Sayyidina Husain Secondary School,
  3. Seri Mulia Sarjana Secondary School,
  4. Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College,
  5. Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School,
  6. Pg Anak Puteri Hjh Masna Secondary School,
  7. Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Secondary School,
  8. Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College,
  9. Anthony Abell College
  10. Sultan Hassan Secondary School from Temburong

all made the cut to reach the final that will be held on March 18, 2008 at the SOAS Auditorium.

The National School Choir Competition is part of the Silver Jubilee National Day celebrations. It is organised by the Co-curriculum Department with special finding from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.

The event is hosted by the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College.

Over 600 students took part in the competition which brought together the best talents from each school to belt it out for national and school pride of being the best choir in the country.

The preliminary rounds held at SOAS Collage saw 21 schools from all four districts converging to battle it out to advance to the final
